From the survey conducted in 2008 to gather the opinion poll and draw a road map for her activities, the executive in place realized that a huge Nso population of youths constituted a good percentage of the informal – labour force in Bamenda but are not easy to control.
An attempt was made to re – organize and educate them as occupational groupings of carpenters, bike riders, plumbers, electricians, block – moulders, parkboys, petite traders etc. in vain.
Shey Peter Ngando (Woo Biy-wong) had as an individual been organizing annual football tournaments of Nso teams in Bamenda at CBC field mile 3. The sponsorship was not very easy again for him.
Nso’bati Bamenda went into partnership with him as a regular annual project to harness the sense of belonging as a Wirfon, in a more relaxed sporting atmosphere.
This joint project was launched in 2010, through 2011, 2012, to 2013 after which, Nso’bati Bamenda attention was diverted for the more pressing Ngaay Nso project.
